Meet the Founders
Aaron and Berinda Eugene
Aaron and Berinda Eugene are the visionary couple behind Hope Empowerment Inc., a faith-led nonprofit transforming the lives of K–12 students through education, mentorship, and immersive learning. But before classrooms and curriculums, the Eugenes were feeding souls—literally.
As the former owners of a beloved soul food restaurant, they spent years pouring love into every plate and building deep ties within their community. It was in that kitchen—where comfort met culture—that their heart for people began to expand beyond food and into purpose. They didn’t just serve meals; they served hope.
Mr. Eugene, known for his steady spirit and passion for gardening, now brings those same nurturing skills to Hope Empowerment’s Garden Learning Program. His love for growing things—whether it be peppers or potential—infuses the program with life and legacy.
Mrs. Eugene, a dynamic educator and mentor, carries a bold yet nurturing approach. With a gift for reaching struggling students and igniting a love for learning, she’s helped many children go from falling behind to reading, thriving, and even pursuing professional degrees.
Together, the Eugenes have built more than a program—they’ve built a movement. Grounded in Fortitude, Education, and Health, Hope Empowerment Inc. reflects their unwavering belief that with the right support, every child can rise.
